Well this is one way of cooling

Place to discuss anything, almost. No politics, religion, Microsoft, or anything else that I (the nazi censor) deem inappropriate.

Well this is one way of cooling

Could I just remind you of Kinetic Theory. Solid > Liquid > Gas. This is relevant when you remember Ice > Water > Steam.

I remember Void suggesting that storing my MB on a cardboard box was too much fuel, but even I am not stupid enough to put water against my mother board. That Ice is going to be heated by the processor and will probably become steam, that will then condense against your case. Keep a bucket of sand nearby. If you are going to use Ice you should put it inside a water tight tube or something and tie that near to the processor, then you will need to get some system to pump it in and out, remove the heated water and return more ice. Or not. Its your system after all.

Well, the computers still running, but it was fscking with me all night, possibly due to the water.

Kept it cool though.

Running fine now, I think its just gotten to hot because I have had the case on, its the aussie summer, etc. Its got the case off and the CPU is staying at 40C so its cool.

And steam is much better for it then fire, I had a machine catch fire a while back because the fan stopped and it was running and it just got hot...
