Funny Hostnames

Hey, have any of you christened any of your machines with interesting or humourous hostnames?

My most interesting are mithrandir and conundrum.

We have some interesting names on all of our IBM, Sun, and Linux boxes at work but I don't want to list them in case any of my coworkers happen to be members here. They "might" put 2 and 2 together. :) Some names I've used in the past are allegra (fast), bertha (big), thunder, lightning (last two used while working in a weather shop), fred, barney, betty, wilma, bambam, pebbles, dino. Then we had 7 IBM diskless workstations we of course named doc, dopey, sleepy, bashful, grumpy, happy, and sneezy, along with their bootp/NFS/NIS server called snowwhite. There are countless others, we really had some good ones in the weather shop, they just escape me at the moment (too long ago). Lately I haven't been very creative and have made management happy by giving servers names based on the applications they host and location. :(

I don't know how terribly funny/unusual these names are, but I have 5 computers. Their names are alphabetical in the order that I got them. Their names/descriptions are as follows:

ancient: An old XT running DOS 5.0 (now) that cost me a small fortune and still runs. It has dual floppy drives (360K 5 1/4 and 720K 3 1/2) and a hard drive (20MB) and 640K of RAM and CGA (4 color video). Seriously hot stuff in its day.

badboy: another DOS computer (6.22)a P266 with dual floppy drives, 64 MB RAM, dual hard drives, and a tape drive.

crasher: my Win98 box. P3 933, 512 MB RAM, dual 30 GB 7200 RPM hard drives, tape drive, scanner, IDE DVD, IDE CD ROM, SCSI CD RW, SCSI scanner, and etc.

dinix: my first Linux box, RH 6.2, P 166, 48 MB RAM, not much else.

eunix: my main computer now; dual boot RH9/FC1, P4 2.4 GHz, 512 MB RAM, dual 40 GB 7200 RPM hard drives, 32 MB NVidia video card, IDE CD ROM, IDE CD RW, and etc.

I guess if there's any humor, it's the name of my Win98 box. Either that or the fact that I still have an XT up and running :)

don't know how humorous they are but my systems names are after some of my preffered drinks like JD as in Jack Daniels which is the laptop(w2k/Suse 9.0 depending on whether my wife or I am using it), Whiskey(my main full tower SUSE 9.0), JOSE my Suse9.0 web server, and finally MARGARITA ( my wife's w2k pro system), and last my linux system at work BOCK(SUSE 9.0/FC1/Slackware 9.1 depending on my mood) as in my fav beer Shiner Bock.
