linksys WRT54G

I'm thinking of buying the linksys WRT54G. I just wonder if it is possible to turn of the wlan function while still using the normal lan connection.

I don't think you can with the stock firmware but you certainly can if you are running OpenWRT. I turn it off on one of mine by:

# ifdown eth2
# rmmod wl

Or just comment out the "insmod wl" in the /etc/rcS
