Flash 9

Postby insomnia » Tue Oct 24, 2006 8:47 am

After a very long time, their's finally a new flash plugin for Linux.
Using it for about a week, I must say that I find Flash 9 beta already less crappy than the awfull Flash 7 plugin.
It seems to be less unstable, faster(loading times) and finally lets me visit all sites. The CPU usage seems a little higher though.

Aside from my political views on Flash I just installed it and it seems to work. There was a site out there that has been annoying me because they require flash 8 or above to view their flash and now I can view it. I have been complaining and complaining about them. Thanks for posting this!

You can just dump "libflashplayer.so" in "/home/user/.mozilla/plugins/"

PS: if you have an rpm installed, first uninstall it.
