Can any of you play youtube vidz fullscreen?
I have seen it on windoze boxes but I can't do it on any of my machines at home.
Is there maybe a config file I have to edit?
I haven't found anything about it on the net, except for some forum posts saying that fullscreen functionality wasn't available for the linux version of flash...
I can in bothe debian and Ubuntu. I used automatix to install flashplayer and mplayer plugins for firefox. Once you get it up and running, you have to tell firefox to allow popups for youtube. Then, it's not truly full screen, but it is in a maximized window that takes up your desktop minus the task bars.
You can always save the *.flv files and play them in mplayer or xine full screen. It's a 2 step process but as long as youtube wants to force the use of a proprietary format/player then that's what we have to put up with. You could always complain to youtube. It probably won't help but if you do I will know of at least 2 complaints about the format (I've complained in the past).
what are you using to download the video with? I have flashgot, dta, video downloader and something else, and I still have to got hrough this whole nut roll to get one ddown right.
