Just wanted you to know your wrt54g revival method worked for me with a wrt54g v8 router. I bricked it somewhere along the way @ http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/How_To_Flash_the_WRT54Gv8 and thanks to you, I was able to complete the flash. Thanks!

Hey!

I found a link to this website at the German DD-WRT wiki. I bought a WRT54GL-DE v1.1 and used your tutorial to bring it back to life. I had to short Pin 16+17 and i used PumpKIN ( http://kin.klever.net/pumpkin/ ) to flash the Linksys Firmware. After i flashed the firmware, the router rebooted and I had to do a Factory-Reset and everything was fine. ;-)

Great Tutorial!

Alex

Thanks for the Linksys wrt54G lobotomy. Mine would not respond to anything until I tried shorting the pins. Worked great. Thanks again.

Loved reading all the stuff in here, but still need help.
Flashed WAP54G all works ok except the MAC ADDRESS has changed from what was stamped on the box to 00:90:4C:60:40:00. This causes a problem as the two AP's I flashed now have the same MAC ADD???? unable to now run in bridge mode. is there a fix? I am only using XP, sorry no red hat or linux, hope you will still talk to me :-)
