Back in the day when Mac wasn't Intel-based and they were much slower than what they are now, I saw a purpose and reason for Yellow Dog Linux. Gave those an alternative to the simple Mac OS X of the time. However, Apple have gone intel and now enable most OS's systems under the intel-based umbrella....
