Re: Happy IPv6 Day!

I figured out what my YouTube problem was today. Well, someone else did actually but if fixed my problem too. Turned out to be an MTU issue. I set "AdvLinkMTU" to 1440 and bingo, everything works speedy over IPv6 now. Here's the list of VARs for OpenWrt's implementation of radvd: http://wiki.openwrt...

Re: eth0 won't start without NM in F16

I use NetworkManager in Fedora 16. :) Of course I've only installed it on Laptops so far and it NetworkManager works well there.

Re: Fedora 12 running on Android

Actually X isn't running on the phone's display. It is only running under the vncserver in everything mentioned in this thread but if GNOME3 runs under the vncserver (and I assume it would) then it should run on the phone.

Re: Backup MySQL and it's password

It's generally not a good idea to pass a password as a parameter as it will show up in a process list (ps). Reading it from a file solves that problem.

Fedora 16

Been running it on a couple of my laptops now for a couple of weeks. The GUI is really different than what comes on 14 and I really didn't care much for it at first but I am getting used to it. Everything seems to work pretty well.

Believe it or not just the following will do the same thing (don't need the "echo"):

Re: Value too large for defined data type

Dude, your friggin' inbox is over 3GB! That doesn't appear to match any file size limit but maybe the number of messages is reaching some sort of limit. Maybe try a different mail program to read it other than the basic mail program. But why would you want to have 3GB in your inbox?

Re: Fedora 12 running on Android

this whole process sounds really simple actually. So with regards to the fact you're not replacing the OS, that makes this a dual boot system, does it? When I think of dual boot I think of booting one OS or the other. That isn't what this is. You don't actually boot up another kernel, you use the a...

Re: Fedora 12 running on Android

I refined the startup/shutdown procedure a little bit so now I can start it up with the click of a button which will get the file systems mounted and start sshd and the web server and enter a bash shell. Just exit the shell to shut down Fedora. So to start Fedora I have an entry in ConnectBot called...

It's roughly the same. Also running 6in4 IPv6 tunnels from Hurricane Electric on the WRT running my Shorewall firewall.
