cookies and biscuits

Hi. Would just like to know how u guys feel about allowing cookies  My online banking will suddenly not work - after about 27 months - unless I allow cookies  Now, to me, allowing cookies is like leaving a rapist alone with the wife and daugthers then going out fishing. So what i...

And again. :D

Just for interest sake.

It seems the culprit was a shutdown(2) without a
close(2) on the client system.

- It actually happened when a *nix queue got full and
was a wee bit difficult to emulate -.

Will now have to run the production machine a while to
confirm.

Regards.

Ok guys - very sorry!!!  That was a wild goose chase. The "-- MARK --" entry is put there by the syslogd and the production machine - for some reason - didn't start it with "syslogd -m 0". (major oversight). It just happened that the problem that I got and the log entries happene...

All works fine - except every 50-60 hours the thing hangs on the production machine and I cannot emulate the problem. Checked open sockets, fd's etc. Only indication I get are hundreds of...

Must say - it was not a bad choice to move from that
other place to here.

And here, seems to get more hits every day I look.

As long as he - the Nazi censor - keep a check and tight
hold, it can only but grow.

Good work so far!

Must say TX to BaDDaSS :D Been putting the sharing off for some time now. Except having to change a few things eg. eth0 is the local LAN and ppp0 as the Internet connection, everything is working like a charm :o The 2 other Linux boxes and the wifes' w2k machine all connected without a problem. Only...

enable module support

Hi. Two questions. A) How can I "enable module support" without recompiling the kernel - ie. leave the current kernel intact. Running RH 7.3 with kernel 2.4.18-24.7 B) If I DO have to do this - how will it affect the kernel updates I do using up2date :?: As this is a development box - I try ...
