in my school computer lab we installed fedora 8 for a class, and when it boots up on some of them it goes to TTY1 instead of tty7 (where X is started)

errr i cant give a definative answer, but i know theres some command that will give you the codes of the keys (so you run it, press the buttons and it will echo the codes for them). You can then edit the keymap, put in the codes and set them to what you want; such as run a command.

that nx technology is pretty nifty. My ISP is setting up online PCs with it for their clients. They have servers hosted on their fibre network and we login using the free nxclient (which they had to patch up quite a bit apparently). it would appear that the HEADER.html is added to the index just after the body tag, and the README.html is added just before the closing body tag. I've come across a few different errors trying to do a YUM update. Cant allocate memory and several packages that have been renamed conflict with current packages (the ones they are supposed to be replacing). So my second attempt at a Yum upgrade after moving my var directory to my other HD to make room for all the dled packages and whatnot. I get this error about 48 times before it segfaults. converting odt to plaintext en masse

Anyone know a way to convert a directory with a bunch of odt files into plaintext. There is no formatting in the files (other than line breaks).

The GUI and the code that runs the phones functions (calling, et cetera) they make for it would not have to be open though. I suppose thats what i meant?
