yes..i now realize there is no /dev/eth*.
It does sound logical to have the net device interface be under dev though doesnt it?.. perhaps not, i dont know.

erm.... if you have to load a modul it will probably be in /etc/rc.d/rc.modules at least it is in 9.1, i remember using /etc/modules.conf in older version though.

yes ps/2. it works but the scroll doesnt. Perhaps it is somewhere but just not loaded.

IBM mouse

does anyone know what the actual name/model is of the standard IBM mouse with the one scroll thing that you must push to go up/down? I am searching on google for linux drivers for it but havent gotten anything good because i dont know the actualy name/model

erm... ok.. it is there.. i forgot that cp wont copy hidden directories by default. And the emails are somewhere in there.. Ill figure out how to transport them to thunderbird

Does anyone know where mozilla saves emails and bookmarks. Im not sure if i saved the directory with my emails from my old slackware distro.

erm... i started install slack 9.1 but some of the packages seem to be corrupt (at least thats what it tells me it may be) Such as the kernel package. So after formattin my root partition and putting a fileystem and some basic packages on it fails. Well i still have the image for slack 9.1 to reburn...
