well i blame Xcdroast. I just used cdrecord from the command line to burn the first disc and teh second disc is burning right now. No more frontend burning for me :)

Umm... i tried to burn slackware 9.1 but first i blanked my slack9 CD and then i tried to burn it. But the CDs wont mount and when i tried burning them again in xcdroast it claimed to just start burning when in theory it shouldnt have been blank (i didnt blank them again). erm.. ok.. how do i now stop fdisk from changing the partition table when i restart? Because since i have a slackware disk i could in theory boot onto it and then mount my hdb1 and my / and then move /etc .... couldnt i?

ahhhhhhhh!!!!.... ok... i changed the host from localhost to mor.servebeer.com... and poof! it magically works... i have no idea why or how its possible that the computer didnt dissappear in a puff of logic... but it works.

those are my settings and i can connect that way. I thought it might have had something to do with my hostname because my computer was chatroom.fsckmicro$oft.com and i didnt change it to mor.servebeer.com which i just did. And it still says : phpBB : Critical Error Could not connect to the database ...
