One of the interesting things about my new FC5 isntallation is the artwork. The login screen is cool-looking, the boot splash is tasteful, and the grub screen is downright mouth-watering. Where did all this come from? And will it be improved in FC6? If I had known how pleasant it was, I would have made the upgrade from 4 much earlier.
And I just noticed that when booting up, the numlock stays set. The automatic resetting of numlock on restart was one of my number one pet peeves with Linux - no startup scripts or settings seemed to fix it. Looks like they finally got it figured out. Congratulations!
a couple comments on FC5
Sorry, but as far as artwork FC6 looks exactly like FC5 (at least in FC6Test2 which I installed last week). Regarding the numlock, this didn't work for you?
It's in extras.

Which reminds me: here's a list of the channels I have currently set up for Smart to use:

http://apt.sw.be/dries/fedora/fc5/i386/dries/RPMS

What other channels should/could I be using?

I was feeling extra industrious, so I went ahead and installed Extras, Livna, Grey Sector, and Flash.
Interestingly, the yum info for all of those repos is available in /etc/yum.repos.d/ - you'd think that Smart would be able to get that info itself. Heck it probably can, I just don't know how. Fortunately, I was able to install the channels correctly by hand.
