Reading Output from another TTY in Real Time

....without using `screen` (Process was already started)

Basically, the situation is this:

I am currently "consolidating" some drive space and rearranging some NFS shares. I have about 5 separate rsync processes running - some local, some via ssh. Basically, I want to know if it is possible to view the output from one of the rsyc commands (PID 2187) that is running on tty2 in real time on another virtual terminal, preferably via a shell in ssh. I have tried a few utilities (watch, reptyr, ttysnoop) but have had no luck. I tried looking around a bit on google, but maybe I am just phrasing my query wrong. As stated before, I could have used screen, but from my understanding of it, screen needs to be invoked prior to executing the command (rsyc, in this case.)
