I think you're looking at it all wrong.
I don't see any major changes in the pipelines for Ubuntu.
Linspire will not change much, and neither will Ubuntu.
Rather, Ubuntu users will get the choice of being able to install CNR (nasty ugly thing I know, but for users who really want it, it's there for them).
I see this as more of a positive thing than anything else.
People who really need their proprietary software can get it easily, through the dreaded CNR.
Users like yourselves will see no difference, and continue enjoying your Ubuntu flavoured Debian. =]
